The Volkswagen's Polo and Polo Vivo once again topped the passenger car market as Naamsa releases its local sales figures for August 2019.
The biggest surprise in August the Suzuki Swift acting as a proverbial cat among pigeons. It may only rank number 10 on our list but to beat tough rivals is a feat in and of itself.

The Polo Vivo achieved 2252 units, while the bigger Polo managed 2124 units. Behind them the Renault Kwid was the only other passenger car to surpass the 1000-unit mark with 1098 units sold. Toyota sold 811 Fortuners followed by 774 units of its Corolla/Quest.
In sixth place, Ford’s Figo grabbed the signatures of 758 new owners, followed by the Hyundai Grandi10 (715). In eighth place is the Datsun Go (678), ahead of the Kia Picanto (665).
Completing our list of top-sellers is the Swift with an impressive 663 units sold.
