The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was launched at the 2012 Geneva Show so, with a life cycle of about six years, it’s about time to release the mid-life refresh of the two-seater Grand Tourer.

Following Ferrari's typical 12-cylinder nomenclature (456, 512, 575), it is expected the freshened F12 will sport the M (for "modificata" or modified) badge.

Spy images reveal the new F12 M in action ahead of its official reveal at the early 2016 Geneva auto show.

POWER INCREASE?

While the images suggest the front will be untouched, the rear wings are heavily camouflaged along with the area around the rear number plate. The camouflage implies a few tweaks to the arches and boot lid.

It's monstrous 6.3-litre V12 produces 544kW/690Nm so there’s no need to squeeze more power out of the engine. Nonetheless, this might be exactly what Ferrari is planning, possibly tweaking the engine to 560kW, reports Automedia.
